More Animal Judges

I found out the history of animals wearing wigs.
Click here to see the cat judge in the group.

I featured the cat judge by herself a few days ago before I learned this was an advertising agency in Switzerland's 2014 campaign against cruelty to animals. These animals say a lot without speaking, don't they?
The wigs give them a voice.

Albatross Love and Divorce + A Green Cat

Read more about these birds HERE.

Both photos above were found in a terrific article in

THE GUARDIAN: The Week in Wildlife -- In Pictures.

It features animals all over the world and is a good read. Enjoy and have a great weekend. xo

Fabulous Goat Weathervane

I saved this fabulous weathervane to my computer because I love it so much! This goat was made circa 1880 and has survived with most of its yellow undercoat topped with gold leaf. The patina is wonderful! via

Brown and White Kitten

I have posted a photo of brown and white kittens before and just found this one. I adore this color combination and have never seen it in real life. Photo source here.

DIY: Cat Window Perch by Martha Stewart

This is the greatest cat window perch I've ever seen. It's not surprising that Martha Stewart designed it and provided DIY instructions here, is it? Let me know if you decide to make one. It actually looks pretty simple after you get the wood sized to fit your cat's favorite window.  You could also start your flower and vegetable seeds on a "greenhouse" shelf like this! xo

Snowy Sheep

Someone put out hay for these sheep to eat. They look happy in the snow with their warm fleece but I wonder if they feel the cold on their legs and hoofs? Hopefully they have shelter. via

Hoar Frost with Sheep

It's coming says Jack Frost. I do love a good hoar frost and a winding path full of sheep. The autumn leaves on these massive old trees have yet to lose their leaves so warm days are still possible. Found on Instagram @wolfypic  He photographs in Scotland and England's Lake District. This is probably the Lake District where Beatrix Potter raised sheep. xo

Curated Pantry and Deer w/ Birds

I have further curated the left side of my pantry. The shelf brackets denote the center of this room. I still need to work on the other side where my desk is located with a window overlooking my front garden. I am feeling good about this side and it's working nicely to keep my farm table free of clutter. Success!!! I have posted in the past about my monogrammed copper pots on the top shelf.

I have no idea when this photo was taken or whether or not I have already posted it. Chances are, it's from last year because the buttercups haven't started to bloom yet this year. Anyway, I saw a similar scene in this very spot this week only there were three deer and no birds on the post.

Gardening Wallpaper, Dahlias + An Owl

I photographed this delightful gardening wallpaper when life was normal in the powder room during a broker open house.

This is a screenshot from Instagram @mccormickcharlie one of my favorites. Of course, he lives in England and raises award-winning dahlias on his property, a Manse alongside a beautiful country church.

Have you ever seen a more determined owl. He's definitely on a mission. This is also a screenshot from Instagram @animalswilder

Needle Felted Duckling Love

This is just too adorable. Hope it brightens your day. I have no intention of ever trying this craft but in case you are interested in how it's done, here is a YouTube Tutorial for making a simple owl.

Cutest Little Chick w/ Flower Hat

This darling photo caught my eye this morning after getting up way too early thanks to daylight savings time. I am now ready to go back to bed but dare not. Isn't this little yellow chick darling? xo
