DIY: Cat Window Perch by Martha Stewart

This is the greatest cat window perch I've ever seen. It's not surprising that Martha Stewart designed it and provided DIY instructions here, is it? Let me know if you decide to make one. It actually looks pretty simple after you get the wood sized to fit your cat's favorite window.  You could also start your flower and vegetable seeds on a "greenhouse" shelf like this! xo

What a sweet picture. This little kitty looks like it really loves it's perch. I purchased a cat window seat similar to this a few years ago, but, alas, I couldn't ever get it to stay in place without falling down.

I don't have a house cat right now, but all the kitties I've had over the years would have loved this! Leave it to Martha to come up with such a good idea. The instructions don't look too difficult.

Leave it to Martha and her staff to come up with something so useful and clever.

lis -- If you look closely at the photo, the window was raised slightly and then closed tightly on top of the piece of wood to keep it in place. Martha's window handles would probably hold it in place if the window were locked too. Sorry yours did not work out for your cat.

Pam -- I don't have a house cat right now either but my previous ones would have loved this too.
