Gardening Wallpaper, Dahlias + An Owl

I photographed this delightful gardening wallpaper when life was normal in the powder room during a broker open house.

This is a screenshot from Instagram @mccormickcharlie one of my favorites. Of course, he lives in England and raises award-winning dahlias on his property, a Manse alongside a beautiful country church.

Have you ever seen a more determined owl. He's definitely on a mission. This is also a screenshot from Instagram @animalswilder

This is a great post Rosemary. The wallpaper - charming. The dahlia garden - luscious. I would kill for a garden that looked like that. The owl - priceless. (I wonder what is was thinking.)

There's something special about wallpaper in a small half bath/powder room, particularly with a charming garden theme such as this. One feels a little pampered. Also love the edge of an English garden where abundant, colorful blooms meet the calm edge of lush green pastures punctuated by round boxwoods and an informal gate. The owl is beautiful and adorable...unless you're the one he's hurriedly pursuing, of course.

Charlie McCormick is Ben Pentreath's partner in life as well as beautiful gardens and architecture. If you follow Ben, there are lots more shots of their beautiful gardens and wonderful homes. Charlie compete in several local (to them) garden clubs and always shows. Ben's blog is one of my favorites - much like yours - so I know you will love it! Susan

SuSu -- I love Ben too and follow him, of course. There is a soft spot in my heart for Charlie when he brings his grandfather to the flower judging shows where he invariably wins all the top prizes for his dahlias. Here is the link for Ben's blog for those of you who want to subscribe. https://www.pentreath-hall.com/inspiration/

lisa, I'm glad you enjoyed the post. I want to plant some dahlias this year to have some lovely fall flowers to love as much as I love my peonies.

JEANNE ILLENYE -- Indeed. This wallpaper was in a small half bath off the kitchen with a wonderful kitchen garden just outside. The English have a way with gardening and the perfect climate too. That little owl is determination personified.
