Someone put out hay for these sheep to eat. They look happy in the snow with their warm fleece but I wonder if they feel the cold on their legs and hoofs? Hopefully they have shelter.via
Love, love, love this image!! I'm mad for sheep in the snow...well, that goes for deer, foxes and more. I'm also particularly fond of the brown faced sheep. I agree with you insofar as always being amazed at how the animals can survive with their legs, feet or hooves being bare, particularly the oppossums who also have bare ears and tail. But nature has provided for them somehow, thankfully. Beautiful image!
They're darling. Have you ever seen those Valais Black Nose sheep from the Valais region of Switzerland? You would just want to cuddle them, they are too adorable too adorable for words. I'm not sure if they have made their way to the US yet.
lisa -- I have not seen those adorable sheep but found a YouTube Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4WRKEYnZdM They are also called The World's Cutest Sheet. Thanks for finding them for us. xo, Rosemary

They are so sweet.
What a beautiful picture of sheep in winter! I think they handle cold weather well, but they do need shelter and extra food as the temps drop.
