Old Table for Kitchen Island

This antique marble topped refrectory tagle is perfect in this kithen, isn't it? The client's request was to design a kitchen that looked like it had always been there yet worked for modern life. I think she got her wish, don't you? Found on Instagram here

Copper Cookware Love + Dahlia Day 6

I hope this kitchen has a full time copper polisher and I'm sure it does because it belongs to Martha Stewart. This lifetime collection is amazing and so very beautiful. I need to do some metal polishing myself, both silver and copper. Dust and tarnish are my personal indoor housekeeping enemies.  View the slideshow and see 14 photos.
See my own copper pots HERE and HERE.

See an old post of mine about how I polish my brass and copper HERE.

Day 6 -- I got down low enough with my camera that the nibbled petals don't show too much along the top edge. Pam wanted to see the center and there are petals in that location still in the process of opening. I honestly thought it was going to be a center like that of a daisy but I think eventually the center will disappear. We shall see! xo

Accordion Windows over Kitchen Sink

Isn't this the best summertime kitchen with accordion windows that open up to the covered porch. What could be better when entertaining and cooking? Who needs an outdoor kitchen when you have an indoor kitchen that opens to the outdoors? So nice! via

Perfect Country Kitchen

I found a great article about someone who found an old school house and converted it into a delightful home. I love this country kitchen so much.

Another Kitchen to Love

It's lovely, isn't it? It must be wonderful in the summer when both doors are opened wide for outdoor dining on the patio. photo source

A Rabbit, Waist Deep in Snow + Powder Blue Kitchen Cabinets

Does He Look Fed Up?
I kept up with my snow by going outside often to shovel before it got too deep. It tapered off late in the afternoon and is supposed to start up again in the night but I think the worst is over. Wasn't too bad at all! I think animals, and this rabbit in particular, just take one day at a time and deal with whatever Mother Nature brings instead of wishing the snow would end the way we humans do. xo

Powder Blue Cabinets!
I have never considered powder blue as a color for painted cabinets, but aren't these lovely? via I am having a terrible problem with my sidebar not showing and I cannot fix it. Click here for MOBILE VIEW. xo

A Kitchen Inspired by Carl Larsson

"The Kitchen" circa 1898 by Carl Larsson via
His own kitchen, pictured above, has inspired a real life kitchen with these paint colors. Read the article and see photos of the cabinetry and paint swatches here

Shelter Island Kitchen Renovation

Painted floors in kitchens are one of my favorite things. I love the free-standing refrigerator too. The simple understated farmhouse style is wonderful. Read all about it here with numerous photographs to love.

Kitchen Table Next To The Window

This is perfect placement for the kitchen table, isn't it? I love the little tabletop Christmas tree too. via

A Real Cook's Kitchen

This is a real cook's kitchen for sure. The stove is the most important thing and then the pots and pans, mostly copper. I think the worktable to the left of the range is fabulous and love that it's an antique and not a custom built-in cabinet. There is an old chopping block to the right and a step stool to reach the hanging pots. Love it all. via

A Kitchen w/ Fireplace + Dutch Door

There are almost too many things to love in this beautiful kitchen and we can't even see the cooking area. I'll take it, wouldn't you? Elle Decor Magazine
