New Listing or Why I've Been Busy

Just posted on Instagram Tuesday 6:45pm

The owner took this photo and I love it.

The cherry tree wasn't as pretty when I took this photo.

The owner took this photo too.
We already have appointments lined up and the first showing isn't until Friday. It has been a whirlwind but it's up and running.
See you later. xo

Bluff View Cottage with Floor Plans

Bluff View Cottage: This lap sided, tin roofed Low Country Cottage is designed to maximize views from the Screened Porch running the length of the rear of the house. A deep Front Porch leads into the Foyer, which holds the Stairway on the right, the Dining Room on the left and the Living Room straight ahead. The Kitchen opens into the Family Room, which has a large fireplace and access to the rear Screened Porch. The Master Bedroom, with its own fireplace and full Master Bath accommodations, also opens onto the rear Screened Porch. Three Bedrooms, each with its own bath, and a Playroom are located on the second floor. The Lower Level provides space for a two-car garage, a Billiards/Game Room and Recreation Room with a wet-bar and bath. Its Covered Terrace is accessible from each of the rear facing rooms.

Dogs on Chairs and Birds on the Wall

I scanned this image from a magazine years ago because I have these first edition 1878 Studer bird prints I used to sell on eBay and I love the way they look on a wall. I uploaded all of the antique prints to a Picase web album HERE. You can also view the link as a slideshow. Let me know if you have any interest and maybe we can make a deal.

Birds on the Walls and Dogs on the Furniture

I love the arrangement of these framed Studer/Jasper bird prints on the walls and I love the little dogs on the beautiful chair as well. This photo was scanned from a page I ripped out of an old magazine. I have quite a few of these original antiquarian ornithological prints . . . I saved this image for framing inspiration.

Should I Trade My Cottage For This One?

It isn't often that I see something that I like better than my own cottage. Dare I even go and look? It's not very far away. I wish photos of the bedrooms were posted. Oh dear. Let me know if you have any interest. We could see it together and then flip a coin.

Advertising Phrenology Head | Boehm Porcelain

Porcelain Phrenology Head by Edward Boehm

This beautiful Phrenology Head was made by noted sculptor Edward Marshall Boehm in the 1950s for the Schering Pharmaceutical Company to advertise their new drug called ETRAFON. The uncommon medical collectible is 5" tall with highly detail head analysis areas shown and the "Etrafon" drug advertisement stamped on back. On the bottom is sculptor's incised mark "Boehm". Etrafon is an antipsychotic drug of intermediate potency used in the treatment of disorganized and psychotic thinking and sometimes used to help treat false perceptions, hallucinations and delusions. Thus, the infamous phrenology diagnosis head that L.N. Fowler made famous in the 1800s was used to advertise the new drug. Only a few of these unique items were produced and given to doctors to help promote the drug. This rare and seldom found 50+ year old piece is in excellent condition and will highlight any collection of antique medical memorabilia. From my personal collection.

White House of the Confederacy in Richmond, VA

The White House of the Confederacy, a neoclassical mansion built in 1818, is now a National Historic Landmark that has been carefully preserved to present its wartime grandeur. From its specific era décor to its furnishings and paintings, when guests walk through the White House, they will indeed feel as though they are walking through the home of the Jefferson Davis family who lived in the house from 1861-1865.

I have several of these original signed etchings with a wonderful impression. Unframed size is 12" x 16" ~ let me know if you are interested in purchasing one. $35.00 each with free shipping in USA. Thanks, Rosemary
