Bathroom with No Tile

This delightful bathroom has wooden floors and walls. It looks old fashioned, yet modern and I love it. No grout always wins for me! photo source

I like it, too. Often tile can seem so very cold to me, so I gravitate toward the softness and warmth of wood. I'd have to have a shower elsewhere in the bathroom though because that's my preference. Besides which my husband would always be soaking in the tub!

I could so love a bathroom like that.

This bathroom is so inviting and warm. I agree, Rosemary, the less grout, the better. (I'm not a fan of caulk, either, unless it's applied minimally.)

Mama Pea -- I wish we could see the rest of this charming bathroom to see if there's a shower for you. I only shower when I wash my hair, otherwise it's a tub bath for me, with epsom salts when I have worked outside.

Pam -- I agree. My tub was grouted when I remodeled my bathroom and that was incorrect. Tubs should be caulked. I dug out all the cracked grout and recaulked it myself several years ago and it's still perfect. That was a great winter project. I need to do the same thing around the floor where the tub meets the marble tiles. Maybe that will be a 2021 project.

Bathtubs just make me sad these days. Three years ago I had some surgery which usually makes a female life much better, unfortunately for me while it solved one problem it caused another. Baths make that problem flare up....yeah more info than you or your readers want to know. I can't tell you how much I miss a good soak.
