Fabulous Video: Cats Stealing Dog Beds
Cats Stealing Dog Beds
My friend Stacey of Stacey Snacks sent me this video yesterday because she knew I would love it and I did. It made me late for a real estate appointment. I almost slept the clock around I was so tired last night and my brain isn't allowing me to post anything original. Thanks, Stacey. I know our blog readers will enjoy this video of cats stealing dog beds too. Webster lets Tabitha do anything she wants because he is super respectful of her wishes, or terrified of her, I can't decide which. I think it's the latter. He won't even come inside the house if she's in the vestibule unless I stand in front of her so he can pass without having her hiss at him.
Be sure to click on the link if you can't see the embedded video above. It's adorable.

Duet with A Cat
I wish I could have been there to see this in person. Don't you absolutely love this vintage photo? I've been working outside all day ever since I got up tweeking things before I mow next week. We had rain during the night but the sun is out this afternoon. Hooray. Have a great weekend.

Cat Nap
The gutter guy is nice and I let him scratch my head before going inside for a nap on the old rope bed. This construction/painting project is really interfering with my daytime routine. Love, Tabitha

Crazy, Determined Cat
I have no idea what's inside this tube, but it must be delicious. It looks exactly like the nozzle on my shop vac. Maybe this is a Repair Cat trying to unclog a stopped up airway. Anyway, it made me laugh. WEEKEND UPDATE: This really is a vacuum cleaner tube -- watch the video here with sound. Found by a reader, thanks!

Lazy Sunday for Cottage Pets
Webster is on the mend and enjoying his dog bed in a new location. I brought the one down from the attic because it has an egg-crate foam mattress and a rectangular shape so he can stretch out. I put it in his favorite spot so he can see me in the kitchen and look down the hall into my bedroom. He's such a good patient. I'm still at a loss about what was wrong with him but I'm pretty sure he was stung by yellow jackets. I have to remember to replenish my supply of antihistamine capsules that helped his rapid breathing get back to normal. He had the same reaction once before when I witnessed the evil insects stinging him.

Little Cat Pillow
I ended up having a very busy day from beginning to end and never did get that nap. Good night all. See you tomorrow.

Finally, We See the Sun
We still have some dark clouds for the sun to hide behind, but when it comes out it is a glorious sight to behold after two days of torrential rain. More is on the way and the weather people say this year's month of June is on its way to becoming the wettest one in history. April was the second driest in history. There is no such thing as predicting the weather nowadays, is there?
Tabitha is catching up on eating the special tough grass she loves. Have a great weekend. my iPhone photos

Tabitha's Summer Mornings
This is how she spends her early mornings after breakfast. Later in the day she moves to the other side of the walk for cool grass and a boxwood. She has also spotted the first weed coming up in the wood chips (click photo to enlarge). I'm glad you all enjoyed the Sad Cat Diary yesterday. All of Tabitha's entries would be joyful. She knows she has it made since she was once a homeless cat in a shelter before she was rescued for a cushy life at my cottage. I have another day of mowing ahead of me so I must cook my power breakfast now. Webster is patiently waiting to be fed too. See you later.

The Big Squeeze
Hilarious! That last tug did it. I do the same thing when I try to zip up my jeans when they come out of the dryer. via

Does your Cat have a Bunny Buddy?
Apparently, this is a trend. Tabitha hasn't heard about it yet and I'm not going to tell her. Click HERE to see more cat/bunny best friends. They show genuine love for one another, so get ready for your face to break out in a big smile.
