Red Cardinal Monday

Mr. Cardinal this morning in my front garden enjoying his perch under the bird feeder in a softly-falling rain. His mate is with him but I can never get them together in one photo.

You can see the falling raindrops in this animated photo.

Enjoy your Monday.

ONE MORE added at 4:00 in the afternoon.
This one shows a chickadee at the feeder,
the cardinal on the cement ball,
and a ground feeder.

Whenever I see cardinals I think of my mom. They were her favorite bird. I'm glad you have a pair to watch, Rosemary. They're entertaining. We have a male who is very vocal and when he's feeding on the red berries from our shrubs, he lets us know he's happy. They're wonderful birds!

Pam, My mother loved cardinals too and I consider myself very fortunate to have a pair to brighten up my winter landscape. They really are wonderful birds. xo, Rosemary

Yes...great Cardinals.

Beautiful brick wall.

Especially love the close up of your bricks.

Do you know their story? Age, source, etc....

XO Tara

Tara, I have no idea about the bricks, whether they were new or recycled. Wall was constructed in 2002 and my chimney was rebuilt and made taller with the same bricks. I remember there was a limited supply though in a New Jersey facility. I liked the sample my mason brought for my approval. xo, Rosemary
