Click HERE to view my blog with a White Background
I added this feature to my computer view in the sidebar.
The white background shows automatically if you are viewing my blog on a mobile device with a small screen.
If you are viewing my blog on a computer and find my gray background hard on your eyes you can change it to a white background. I have had my blog since 2008 and I like my original design to this day but have had a complaint about the gray background.😢
Now you have a choice.
GRAY background here with sidebar.
WHITE background here with no sidebar.

I have a blogspot domain like you do. In fact, I found your blog because we both listed "morning coffee" as a favorite thing. I continue to enjoy your blog each day!
I like your mobile device layout. How did you get that with Blogger?
I have no problems with the gray background. It's what I'm used to and like, but do understand how others may have trouble with it, especially on a small screen. The gray background is you (!) and seems classier to me. :o)
Vicki Arkens -- Vicki, You have a mobile app too. I think it's automatic with Google Blogspot so users can view your blog on an iPhone or other mobile device. I put the link for your mobile view in this link.

Mama Pea - Thank you. I worked so hard when my blog was brand new to design my logo and the layout. I'm glad you think it's classier than the plain version for mobile phones.😘 I thought I started my blog in 2010 but it was actually in July 2008.

Thanks for the link to the mobile version. I found it much easier to read. Unfortunately. I can't comment on that version so I had to come back here to say, "Thanks!" I also found it interesting that the comments on the computer version vs. the mobile version don't match. :)
Linda Sand -- Linda, I tried the comments on the mobile version. If you click on comments you can read all the comments and at the end it says you have to sign in to Google to leave a comment. That part is out of my control. Google makes it so hard. I wish they would take lessons from Instagram and make it easy to comment. Anyway, I'm glad you like the white background. xo, Rosemary
Linda Sand -- Linda, I am leaving this comment from the mobile version when I am using the CHROME browser. it's easy this way (since I am using a Google browser and Blogspot Blogs are owned by Google. Does this make sense? If you are using Safari or another browser, you can't comment unless you sign in to Google. SIGH. xo, Rosemary
Thank you for the response, Rosemary. Actually, I should have asked: How can I configure my mobile view? (I found the answer online a moment ago.)
Best wishes!
Vicki Arkens -- There was a time quite a while ago when Blogger urged everyone to enable mobile viewing for those followers who do almost everything on their phones. I hope this posting helped you make your own blog mobile friendly. xo, Rosemary
Oh how funny . . . .I prefer the gray because it's easier to read (for me anyway) and I vastly prefer it over white! I'll stick with the original - but thanks for the choice:)
A long time ago when I was writing a print newsletter, and then when I started my blog, I researched a lot about what is easiest on the eyes: background, typeface, white space. A black background is definitely more work for the eyes, and I have stopped reading some blogs just because I really did feel the difficulty.
But -- I never gave it a thought with your blog, so obviously gray is not the same! And you don't offer long treatises, either :-) -- that probably helps. My mind still works best in analog mode, so if there is a long article I want to read online, I have to print it out before I can tackle it!
Thanks for the new feature!
Your blog is perfect the way it is even with the gray background. I'm not a fan of gray but it doesn't bother me here as your content is always so good.
Karen -- Yes, it's good to have a choice because everybody's screen is different. I am finding it easier to reply to the comments on the mobile site because it gives me a "reply" link below each comment. Thanks for your vote for the original. xo, Rosemary
Gretchen Joanna,
I could never blog daily if I had to write wordy descriptions. I put a lot of thought and research into my blog in the early days too. I have finally learned how to read long articles on my computer. I sometimes have to enlarge the text after finally learning how. I just hit the COMMAND button and keep it depressed while hitting the + button until the type is large enough. And then try to remember how many times I hit + when going back to normal with COMMAND and the - (minus) symbol. Going paperless isn't working well for me either. I still print a lot of things for my files that are needed for future reference. xo, Rosemary
Nancy, Thank you. My original design is easy on my eyes too and I am pleased you like the content too. xo, Rosemary
