Tasha t -- That photo of a Pileated Woodpecker is from the Audubon guide but I do have these very large woodpeckers in the woods next to my cottage. It's always a thrill to see them and they make a lot of noise drilling holes to announce their presence. xo, Rosemary

I'm definitely saving this guide for reference. Soon we will start seeing more of our feathered friends, and I want to be ready for them.
I actually like reading your posts with the gray background, but understand that some may find it easier to read the black print on white.
