After: Isn't this a wonderful transformation?

So rare anymore to find someone willing to spend the time making such repairs before they become gigantic problems. You are blessed, Rosemary.

Gail, northern California -- Gail, I am definitely blessed and I know it. Right after he left it started to rain but not enough to go inside. I still had cleanup to do and I'm glad I was outside to see a beautiful rainbow blessing my cottage. I will post the photo tomorrow. xo, Rosemary

You and your cottage are definitely blessed by the skills and kindness of your helpers. But you know what, you probably make it easy for them to do their best work! Win-win!!

Pam -- I am definitely blessed with great workers who try their best to make me happy. I treat them with kindness and help out wherever I can. Over the weekend I covered the shutters with a big tarp I had in my garage in advance of a rainy weekend and they stayed dry. I did the same thing last night and didn't quit working until 7:30. I cleaned up after the carpenter so he could leave when he finished. And put all of the Azek (wood replacement product that isn't wood😂) away in the garage. The scraps can be used for smaller repairs. My garage if full of things like saw horses (using for shutter painting) and tarps and just about anything they don't have. I cleaned up every day when my cottage was being restored with the shop vac and it was one of my all-time favorite things to do. I am a willing helper to anyone who helps me. xo, Rosemary

Debra -- Yes, I help as much as I can. Today I organized his tools. Tomorrow we are going to use a wood repair product I researched to death before ordering. I have several boards that don't need replacing but have some soft rotten places. My package came today. I dug out two patches with my hammer and chisel and cannot wait to work with the epoxy clay tomorrow. It's called Abatron. People with wooden boats swear by it. We shall see. My painter used it recently on a wooden deck and showed me his photos. Historic House Museums use it too rebuilding wooden windows, shutters, etc. xo, Rosemary
