Rabbit Wallpaper

RABBIT  WALLPAPER
This bathroom is in the house I visited last Saturday for the Estate Sale. Isn't it fabulous? The rabbit wallpaper is really the WOW factor needed to transform an otherwise unexciting room into a spectacular one. Dare to be daring! I love it.❤

This is when I know for certain someone truly loves their home. I hope the Estate Sale isn't in advance of a moving sale because the owner is surely gong to have a tough time leaving the house if this bathroom is but one example of the house's uniqueness. Almost as heart wrenching as your children's height measurements on a door frame.

This wallpaper is by the artist Hunt Slonem. He has painted an entire series of whimsical rabbit art, and has also done many more animal themed paintings. I just adore his art, and one day, hope to have an original Hunt Slonem, (or at least a print or fabric covered pillow).

Isn't that something!! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I so admire people who are courageous enough to decorate their homes with what they love.

Gail, northern Californis -- Gail, I am sorry to report that the owner died. She bought the property as a widow when she was 83 years old and she remodeled the house and even put on an addition. She died 10 years later this past April but I get the feeling she lived a very happy life up to the end. The house is beautifully decorated and she left her great taste behind for the next owner to enjoy.

The owner must have been an amazing woman. I can't imagine buying a house at 84 and renovating it. This bathroom is a work of art. My first thought was, " I would get stuck in there counting rabbits", my second thought, after reading the comments, was " $412 dollars for a roll of wallpaper"!!!!!! I could never ever afford that. I hope the new owner doesn't change a thing in this bathroom because it is amazing.
