Yes,recycle your plastic, but better still reduce your purchase of plastic,as so much goes into landfill.

Plastic, plastic everywhere! We recycle but we really wonder how much the recycler recycles. So much of our recycle stuff was sent to China, now they don't want it anymore.

Recycling is not the answer. An effort is required to cut down on the use of plastic ..... carry cloth grocery bags, refuse to use single use plastic bags, do not buy plastic bags or wrap once your supply has gone. Be inventive ... try to buy things in glass instead of plastic containers and refill them.
Yes, I have made my own produce bags and bees wax wraps.... also stopped buying yogurt and once again make my own. Look for bread in paper bags. I am making changes and encourage those around us to do the same.
It is up to us.

minwks -- Janine, Thank you for your own personal efforts to reduce plastic. I must admit I have never heard of bees wax wraps but it sounds like homemade wax paper. I have always been thrifty and in 1973 I invested in a set of glass covered containers, made in France, for the refrigerator and I still have them and I've added to my collection through garage sales. I save my glass jars too, just like you.
I learned a great trick from my mother. She used to put a dinner plate or appropriately sized plate over a bowl of leftover whatever. I did this recently at a friend's house and with leftover salad and she thought this was the best idea ever. It's still not too late to curb your plastic consumption.
