Rainy Monday Photos at My Cottage

My front entrance this morning on a rainy Monday

Pink and proud. Still looking lovely in a soft rain. Notice clipped boxwood in background,

Riffled white hiding from the rain.

Ruffled white peony. I love this variety.

Petals are falling.

Red barn garage with loft, back entrance. Don't my clipped boxwood look nice? I am liking my wild field too. Serious grass cutting will be done the next nice day. xo

Your peonies look so lush and that field out back....WOW! I can't believe you use to mow all the way back to the tree line, such a lot of work. I love the wildness of the back field, I'm sure it's a habitat now for lots of different things......hopefully not ticks.

From where I sit, it looks positively refreshing. It reached 99 degrees in my little town in the SF east-bay area today, which is a heat wave for us. We don't usually get this hot until August or September.

Your cottage and the gardens look wonderful--even in the rain! We decided to let our pasture grow (at least for awhile), and it's been interesting to see quite an increase in the number of butterflies, bees, and birds.

If I lived nearby, I'd be asking if that lovely loft was available to rent. ;-)

It's all beautiful, Rosemary. You can be enormously proud of your hard work.
