So instead of a bedside table, this room has a bedbehind table. It is also interesting to see a free standing bed. It's all pretty wonderful, isn't it? via I spy inside solid shutters and outside louvered shutters too. Bright sun must be a problem here with glare to interfere with reading. I too have a bright sun, glare problem which I intend to deal with next year. I have decided old-fashioned roller shades will be fitted on all my windows if I can find them. Wish me luck. See you later. Enjoy this beautiful Sunday. xo

Two Inspiring Kitchens
I really like this sophisticated country kitchen.
This seems like a good idea but it would make me nervous having people watch me cook. Now if I were the sitter, watching someone else cook, this would be great.

I especially like it all. Actually the draperies are a little heavy for my taste but I'll take everything else. Happy Friday. xo via The ottoman is really fabulous, isn't it?

Hello December 2016
I have always been partial to mittens and this is my favorite pair. It is getting cold enough to wear them too. There is a small hole in one of the thumbs which I must repair before it gets any bigger. xo

Light Snow on the Rooftops in Bavaria
How very beautiful. I love these steep roofs with dormers. The dusting of snow makes them look like gingerbread houses. via

Screen Porch, The Best of Both Worlds
This is indeed, the best of both worlds. A screened in porch on one side and an open deck on the other. I choose the screened side because it's like being inside and outside at the same time. I don't like to bake in the sun. It's a fabulous setup, isn't it? xo via

White Oak Tea Tavern - Wonderful Log Building
I love this log cabin. It's the White Oak Tea Tavern in Troutville VA. Don't you think this should be a destination stop for anyone driving through Virginia? It's near Roanoke I think.

Vintage Thanksgiving Magazine Covers
Abraham Lincoln issued the first Thanksgiving turkey pardon as a gesture to help unify a divided nation at the end of the Civil War.
I like them all. My family was quite taken with TV in the early days, so this one is my favorite even though I am not a sports fan. Have a great holiday. xo

Sliding Barn Door in A Kitchen
I would like to see the rest of this lart if the room, wouldn't you.
I don't think this sliding door is closed very much. The adjoining room seems to be a butler's pantry. Maybe the door is closed if the kitchen is a mess which is probably never. via
