You know I love laundry rooms and I'm mad about this one with the soapstone sink. Isn't it clever the way the cabinets on either side are arranged. The deep one has a counter top that goes over the sink and the shallow one on the other side butts up to it. How charming!
Cary Grant reading a script in the early 1930s. What movie is this? I want to watch it. via
The ottoman I would need was probably pushed out of sight for this simple, chic, perfect photo shoot. I can't read a book for any length of time unless my feet are propped up. I love this nook with the wonderful view, don't you?
I love this antique oil painting of a little girl reading a book, don't you? via

Dalton Ghetti (a carpenter by trade) uses three basic tools to make his incredible creations – a razor blade, sewing needle and sculpting knife. He even refuses to use a magnifying glass and has never sold any of his work, only given it away to friends. He said: “I use the sewing needle to make holes or dig into the graphite. I scratch and create lines and turn the graphite around slowly in my hand” Click on the link to see many more photos of this Miniature Art on the Tip of Pencil by Dalton Ghetti
This beautiful dark night sky in Spain would be the perfect place to watch the upcoming meteor showers. The 2010 Perseid meteor shower – August’s famous ’shooting stars’ – will peak this coming week, on the mornings of August 12 and 13. Any night this week, you might see the heavens filled with flying meteors.
This looks like a happy place to get some quality work done, doesn't it? I have an orange desk lamp like the one in the photo that makes me happy. I love the wall color too and the overall design of this modern workspace.
I love owls. These three look pretty young, don't they? via Pixdaus
