I opened a drawer in my studio and found a pile of old marbles I've collected over the years. These are Bennington and clay marbles from the 19th century photographed on an old coverlet.

Rosemary I am not seeing the picture you posted for some reason and I am a HUGE lover of marbles! I had a great collection at one time that I had harvested from of all places a landfill when I was young girl. I would love it if you could send me the picture! I miss my marbles, lol! Tina xo
I see them now and WOW! that is amazing Rosemary! At best I would find the glass ones, large and opaque, usually white with one other color wafting around it like smoke. It was the colors that fascinated me, so brilliant and clear. Where did you get yours? Tina xo
