Bunny Shirts and Easter Buckets

The wonderful galvanized pails are painted with chalkboard paint and decorated with chalk. These handsome boys are lucky to have a talented mom who handpainted their tee shirts with a great bunny head. She says they will wear last year's Easter outfits to church. These clothes are perfect for a serious Easter Egg Hunt. Story here.

Wonderful Bird Bath

Someone is all set for spring and Easter. I love this old cast cement bird bath, don't you? It looks like one that will never spring a leak and can stay outside all year long. via

Vintage Easter Greetings

Wishing you an old-fashioned Eastertide
I was thrilled to find this fabulous vintage Easter Die Cut to share with you. Nothing modern can compare with old German scrap. This one is especially charming. I hope your table is as lovely as the one the Easter bunny has set up under an awning. Be careful not to break any eggs. ©Suzee Que

Wonderful Stone Cottage with Climbing Roses

Wouldn't this be a great place to have an Easter Egg Hunt? I love this stone cottage with the door and window on the gable end leaving lots of room for the roses to climb. I don't know where it's located but I'd love to be there right now. Have a lovely weekend. *

Orchid Portrait

I took this photo several years ago while I was hosting a realtor open house. I took my camera along and luckily there were many interesting things to photograph and pass the time away. I was very pleased with this portrait of a beautiful orchid that was in the seller's living room.

I can remember when you could buy orchid corsages in almost any grocery store for women to wear to church on Easter Sunday. We always bought one for my grandmother.

Decorating the Easter Eggs

He looks pretty tired if you ask me. The Easter Bunny has only one more week to decorate the eggs all by himself. He's hoping you will hold up your end and help him. Besides, it's fun. I think the bugs are offering their assistance too. *_*

Happy Easter 2010

I love the image on this vintage Easter postcard. It reminds me of my early years when every single thing I put on to wear to church on Easter Sunday was brand new and sewed with love by my mother. When did she have the time? She made my brother's clothes too as well as her own. She and I always wore white cloves. So much has changed, hasn't it? We have more free time but we get less done. Happy Easter everyone. It's a beautiful day here at the cottage and there's a ham in the oven. Yum.

Vintage Easter Postcards

I love the message on the last vintage postcard:
A HAPPY EASTER
May every cloud above you
give way to skies of blue,
And on this Easter morning
let only joy shine through.

Sunday Before Easter

I think I'm rested now for a full afternoon of real estate showings. This little rabbit is not sick, but trying to catch all the naps he can for next week. It will be the busiest time of the year for the Easter Bunny. I hope it's warmer than today. I was always so disappointed when I had to wear my winter coat over my new Easter dress when I was a child.
