Hello February 2024

This February has an extra day for Leap Year and that's nice, isn't it? As usual January flew by because it's my favorite month. It was a busy one with several snows but they weren't too bad. We had some very cold days  that didn't last very long, thankfully. I repotted several geraniums and rooted some clippings and potted those too on a day I could work outside with potting soil and compost. I'll be seeing my snowdrops mentioned in the poem above soon. They are the true harbingers of spring. xo

PS: This morning (February 1st) my snowdrops are breaking through the soil and are up about one inch. Will post photos when they flower.

I loved reading that you've been working with your geraniums, Rosemary. Although we've had some rough wintry weather, we know spring will come soon.

Pam -- We are expecting bright sun 5 days in a row starting tomorrow (Saturday) with temps in the mid 40s. Doesn't that sound delightful? The early spring bulbs are sprouting too. I enjoyed making some new geraniums from cuttings I rooted. They are all thriving in sunny windows here and there. I helped a friend all day today organizing 2023 bills and receipts in new file folders. It was very rewarding and appreciated. xo, Rosemary

Carrie @ Cottage Cozy -- Carrie, You can't keep snowdrops down. They pop up in February even if there is snow on the ground. I will be sure to post some photos of mine. We are looking forward to almost a week of sunshine so it won't be long before they bloom. Happy February. xo, Rosemary

Snowdrops and windflowers are out here. We've had some terrific gales and plenty of rain but we're still afloat!

Tasha T -- Some of my snowdrop bulbs got heaved to the surface so I potted them and brought them inside. Yours are way ahead of mine and I know they must be beautiful. Glad to hear you are still afloat♡ xo, Rosemary
