Watch ANTIQUES ROADSHOW UK free on Pluto TV

If you like all things English and Antiques too, you will love the British version of The Antiques Roadshow. It has been televised since 1979 and there is an endless loop of all episodes on PLUTO TV It's on channel 556 if you want to try it out on PlutoTV. I never tire of it and I pretty much have my living room set tuned to that channel all day long. Each episode is recorded at an amazing historic site and the people who bring in their family heirlooms or boot sale finds are delightful. Let me know if you love it too. I woke up this morning to my first killing frost and the begonias are gone.😢 Happy Friday -- have a great weekend.

We are now officially in a drought according to the Weather Channel. Had a few nights close to freezing, but next week will be in the upper 70’s. Will not push my luck and next week will cover the outside water faucets and continue bringing out warmer clothing. Wish I could say I enjoyed cold weather and just take it in stride, but alas, I do not. Makes me want to hibernate with the bears.

JudyMac -- Judy, I have worn winter gloves outside the last few days. I have unearthed all of my knitted winter hats but haven't worn one yet. I have one faucet and hose not winterized yet. I understand why you don't embrace winter. I like the nesting inside part and not having to mow the grass but I'm not wild about darkness coming so early. Summer is way too short, isn't it. xo, Rosemary

I've begun to feel the chill today. I've brought out my winter woollies too and, dare I say it, my thermal vests. We've had only one frost so far this autumn and plenty of rain and high winds. Since we put the clocks back the dark evenings have started and, like you, I don't like them. I much prefer the long summer evenings.

Tasha T -- Long summer evenings are the best, aren't they? Winter is long and the days are short. Everyone will be complaining but what can we do? Adjusting takes a week or two and then it will be fine since we can't do anything about it. Time to start thinking about big pots of soup simmering on the stove. Stay cozy. xo, Rosemary

Thanks for the tip, Rosemary! I almost always enjoy British television. With winter on the way, it's great to have some good shows lined up. All of our flowers are gone now, and I sure do miss them. I am ready for a break from outside work, though. Yesterday, I neatened up our evergreen hedge and thought, "That's it for 2023." I'm sure we'll find lots of other things to do. Have a great weekend!

Pam -- One of the joys of fall is doing outside chores for the last time until spring arrives. I know you will enjoy the BBC production of The Antiques Roadshow on PlutoTV. Have a nice weekend. xo, Rosemary
