Late Saturday Afternoon Pictures

I was standing close to the stump and finally got a bird and the leaping deer in the same frame. The birds absolutely love this feeder and it's working just exactly the way I planned it. The sun was low and was shining where the bird is standing.

The sky was a lovely blue late Saturday afternoon an hour before sunset. Have a great weekend.

Great photos, Rosemary. Thanks for posting. When the sun is going down, it's a lovely time to be out with a camera.

Thank you, Tasha T. I'm glad I decided to take a walk at that time today, camera in hand. xo, Rosemary

I think it's wonderful that you were able to get the bird and the deer in one picture. Is that a female cardinal? We have a very vocal male cardinal who's been eating the red berries on our evergreen shrubs. He's a handsome bird, but I sure wish I knew what he's talking about!
Have a great weekend, Rosemary!

Pam -- The bird I captured in this photo is a Tufted Titmouse. I do have a pair of cardinals that come regularly. I have other photos with more birds but this was the only good one with the whole weathervane too. I should have stayed longer but my ungloved hand was freezing. Next time I will get the focus right first. I have a foxes den in the way back. I discovered it 20 years ago and it's still in use. They are thrilling to spot in the snow as you know so well. Enjoy your Sunday. xo, Rosemary
