Book Collecting Quote

This made me smile.
Only a book collector will understand.

When I was a young girl, I grew up on a farm with just one tv channel available and a transistor radio (of course, mom had a big radio and a stereo). As soon as I could read, books became my friends. We had cattle to care for, so there were very few vacation days, but books could transport me anywhere. Now I opt to read online books for convenience, but it's not as satisfying as the old fashioned way. Good memories.

I understand. My allergist made me give up book collecting and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

I can empathise with the sentiment, Rosemary. I love to have plenty of books around the house so that I can dip into them at any spare moment. Thanks for posting.

Pam -- Books are a passport to everywhere. I'm glad to hear you had books as your friends as a child. I did too. You found time to read in spite of your busy farm chores. xo, Rosemary

Linda Sand -- I'm so sorry to hear you had to give up book collecting because of your allergies. I do understand how hard it must have been. xo, Rosemary
