Christmas Day: Snowstorm in California 1920

William S. Rice
Snowstorm
Calaveras, Calif.
1920 woodcut

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone.

I love this image and hope you do too. I prefer "dreaming" of a white Christmas rather than having one since I have to drive later today. I hope you are all safe and cozy wherever you are.

We are having a white Christmas here in Minnesota but, since we don't have to drive anywhere we are, indeed, safe and cozy. I hope you reach that point as well.

Lovely! When I saw that it was from 1920, I couldn't help but think that great art is timeless. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Rosemary.

Linda Sand -- How nice to have a white Christmas and be home to enjoy it. I am always prepared to stay home when it snows but have never had to miss a Christmas event that I can remember. Hope you had a Merry in Minnesota. xo, Rosemary

What a beautiful picture! I love having a white Christmas but, sadly, it was not to be this year. There was a sunshiney morning, followed by drizzle in the afternoon. But I enjoyed myself immensely - hope you did too, Rosemary.
