Oh, my! I just don't know for sure what to make of that! Do they all really need the walkers?? They look pretty spry and mobile to me. :o) And, yes, I could watch that lady in the suit for quite a while. You go, girl!

Mama Pea -- Some of the other participants aren't so young at heart. That lady in the suit doesn't look as if she needs the walker. But it's a good place for her purse while she rocks to the music. This video led me to this site with free exercises for seniors.

I get plenty of exercise with working around the house and in the yard. I'm sure you do too since we are kindred spirits.

I hold those ladies in high regard. They pushed grocery carts, baby carriages, lawn mowers, library carts and now they deserve to have a little fun while exercising to ward off the arthritis pain (like me). I'm very sensitive to senior issues and we should appreciate them.

Eileen in Fla. -- I admire those ladies too.I found the video on Pinterest. It was posted by a lady who does free exercise videos for Seniors on her website. She has one for arthritis too. I'm sorry to hear you have pain from that. Here's the website:

Oh my, thank goodness for those who are young at heart! Those women can cut a rug, as my mom used to say. Looks like fun. I hope that I can stay in my home for my entire life, but there sure are some great options available for senior citizens. That's a good thing.

What an inspiration! As a retired Geriatric Social Worker I can tell that these ladies may look like the don't need the walkers but the muscle strength and balance improvement they exhibit came from weeks of classes while they learned that routine. I bet none of they moved that well when they started. Super to see that fun exercise sessions kept them all coming!

kathiquilts -- Thank you for that informed observation. I sent this link to several friends who were skeptical about the need for walkers. You are most certainly correct that it took a long time for these wonderful ladies to learn the routine and gain mobility, connective tissue strength, and overall flexibility as well as better balance. The whole video is inspiration to keep moving. I would find learning the dance steps the hardest part. Thank you again! xo, Rosemary

Pam, I plan to age in place at home too. Joining a group like this would be fun as well as a day to look forward to on a weekly basis. xo, Rosemary
