It's beautiful. I would love to have this as my kitchen. I'm always attracted to spaces with lots of color. Color makes me feel upbeat and cheerful, but I find that spaces which are visually quieter to feel softer and more soothing and relaxing.
So appealing! Some people know exactly what to place where. Gosh, I even like the shadows cast by the everyday items hanging from the pegs. I wonder if this jut-out area was always part of the space or not?
Pam -- If you look closely at the top of this jut-out space, it has a cornice and doesn't go all the way to the ceiling. It must be a built-in cupboard and this is the side showing. Now I love it even more. xo, Rosemary

I love this. the textures are important too in that they balance it. it's not boring. just warmly elegant. xo
