A Table By The Window

Isn't this a perfect place to pay bills, write letters, sip tea or coffee, and eat breakfast or lunch? I love it! xo

UPDATE: I found a link for a house tour with oodles of photos of this Georgian apartment in Edinburgh Scotland.

Enjoy! xo

Mama Pea -- You're right, it does look European. xo, Rosemary

I love a surface that lends itself to doing anything that appeals to you. I have a friend who uses one table for meals, computing, and art--he calls it his everything table.

What a great place to spend time! I love sitting at a window. I wonder what type of view this window offers...

Linda Sand -- This would be an everything table for me and I'm think it is for the owners too. xo, Rosemary

Pam -- You are in luck. I found a complete tour of this breathtaking home that is actually a Georgian apartment in Edinburgh. I updated my post with this link. One of the photos shows the view from a window. Enjoy. xo, Rosemary

I just KNEW these shades were going to look perfect! *and they do.
I SO agree with you - I'd rather find fabric, curtains, bedspreads etc. in my thrift stores than have to actually pick out something!:) *and it's way more fun and cheaper (I have a Ralph Lauren full size bedspread I found at the Goodwill - it's gorgeous!). Well done Rosemary!

Karen -- It's definitely more fun to find things while thrifting or at rummage sales and the money saved is tremendous. We live in a throwaway society so it really is possible to find nice things people donate. I have two Matelassé Coverlet bedspreads I got at a charity shop. I think both were made in Portugal and I love them and they launder beautifully. We must be kindred spirits the way we shop. I almost never go in a real retail store because I hate to shop. Thrifting is more of a "hunt"😂 I'm glad you like the way my shades turned out; I couldn't be more pleased.

It is beautiful, and those colors make it look like such a tranquil place to sit. I wonder what the view to the outside looks like. I'm a huge fan of those single panel shutters anyway, especially when they come with deep window seats.

Lisa D. -- There is one photo in the house tour link I provided to sort of see what's outside one of the windows. I like interior shutters too. xo, Rosemary
