Well, it looks like all of their chickens finally came home to roost. Really home, in the kitchen. There's an old saying referring to someone saying or doing bad things and that they'll be sorry when their chickens come home to roost. Similar to when people say these days, "Karma is going to get them". I would think it would be a good thing for the chickens to come home to roost, so I don't quite understand the old saying, but I have heard it spoken by someone somewhere and I googled it to see if it really is a saying, and it is.
I love old prints and post cards and paintings of hens and chicks and old crockery. I have several very old post cards with chicks framed and on the wall in my kitchen.
