Oh my! what happy memories this brought back. When I was expecting my first child, I went to a lovely little bookshop each week and purchased 1 of the 24 Beatrix Potter books until I had the entire set of 24. Each book was $1.95 then but it still put a dent in my household budget! These were the sweet little child size versions that BHP insisted upon - so they would fit in a child's hands. All three of my children delighted in the tales of all the characters. While Jeremy Fisher, Hunca Munca and The Tailor of Glouster were a hit, my favorite was (and is) Mrs Tiggywinkle.

Thank you for this, Rosemary. I love Beatrix Potter. Her books are so sweet and the illustrations are precious. When my niece was very little, I purchased the entire BP set of books for her for Christmas. To this day, she is an avid reader.
