This tin box on a stand has a top that rusted when one of my potted geraniums overflowed and I didn't notice right away. I have always admired Staffordshire platters on custom-made stands. I remembered I had a rectangular one and it turned to be the perfect size for this stand.
I thought my photo above was somewhat boring so I made three different "watercolor" versions using the Waterlogue App and I like each one. Have you downloaded it yet? It's free!

I don't think your original photo is boring at all.
and I LOVE blue and white. it always gives a fresh little Pop to the colors in a room.
that looks like it was meant to be used on top of the stand!
and I love that you're so comfortable with technology! :D XO
Clever way to solve that problem. Been there with the leaky houseplants. I've put metal trays under houseplants then realized that the leaking water ruined them. So china is a better solution. Now you can put anything on the platter and not worry about moisture issues, while it sits there looking pretty. Love these watercolors you're doing. Hope you do more. Do you still have your bird feeders up? I'll bet the birds would make pretty watercolor pictures. Or your beautiful case clocks.
Love the original and thanks for sharing about the free app downloading it now!
tammy j -- Tam, You are right about the platter being perfect for my stand. I only wish I had paired them when I first brought the blue and white willow pattern platter home.

Mia, I switched to china plates under my potted plants too. My bird photos would make pretty watercolors. Thanks for the idea. My bird feeder has been moved to the back yard. The squirrels discovered it on my balcony and were such a nuisance. I haven't decided what to do for the winter.

I love the plate on the stand...its shape makes it particularly appealing. Yippee...a new app to download. I can't wait to try it!
