Thank you for this link, Rosemary. I once took an Atlantic crossing on the Queen Elizabeth II and had the most divine scones served at afternoon tea. They were positively heavenly. They were not like the traditional scones, but were lighter, softer and more tender, served with clotted cream along with other options, but it was their texture and flavor that made them so exceptional. I wish that whatever recipe they used was more readily available, but alas, sadly I have never come across that type of scone again.

Lisa D. -- What an exciting life experience you had on the QEII crossing the Atlantic. I have only one other friend who has done this with her daughter who was going off to University in London.
Try this scone recipe to see if it even comes close.
