Gorgeous what kind of paint did you use please I used frenchic on our insteps with finishing cost but it is showing scruff marks could I use regular paint but what would I use to protect it
JoinFrance -- Those are not my stairs. I have painted floors in my cottage in a hallway and two bedrooms. It has held up well for 18 years. I used Benjamin Moore Floor & Patio Low Sheen Enamel. They can custom mix it in many beautiful colors. I did not use any protective top coat and have never waxed it. I think you could use it over the chalk paint you have on your stairs now. It is very fast drying. Good luck. xo, Rosemary
