This colorful rag rug just makes this room, doesn't it? I love the draperies edged with ball fringe too. I am trying to figure out the easy chair in striped fabric with green cushions. Are the arms freestanding? It's very interesting and looks comfortable. I love the gathered skirt.

That rug is fabulous! I can't figure out the green part of the side chair either.
It is a wonderful room. The chairs almost look like Parson's chairs, with arms that were added as an afterthought.

Lisa, You might be right. When armless chairs no longer work, add arms. Anyway we are all intrigued by them.

Sometimes freestanding arms ratchet down to make beds. But, the covering doesn't look like it supports that.
I also like the rug although that surprises me. :)
Yes, that rug makes the room look totally cozy and inviting. The room wouldn't have the same attractive, welcoming feel without it.
Linda Sand -- Great point. Maybe they never lower the arms since this slipcover/upholstery was done. The mystery continues.
