A very special day for remembering all of our mothers. How I wish I had "taken more time" to sit and ask my mother all the questions that I'm now wondering about as I'm at the same age she was when she died. So many memories, but so much I realize now I wished I had asked when I could have. I think of her often, of course, and always smile when I'm sitting taking the meat off a carcass of chicken or duck or goose or turkey. It was a task my mom enjoyed doing, but one I don't. I never fail to say (sometimes out loud), "Okay, Mom, if you could manage somehow to come help with this, I'd really love it." ;o}
I read your blog when your mother was still alive. She always seemed to be such a sweet person. Even in the picture of her with you as a baby, you can see her gentle spirit.
I am also thankful for the mother I had...gone now for 20 years. My very sweet mother-in-law is still alive & doing quite well at age 97. She lives in Ohio, so I don't see her often...a wonderful woman.
ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS!!! I recall seeing this image of you and your Mother some years ago and thought at the time how darling you were! So lovely to see you and your Mom again and your brother, too.

...all is grace!
I loved your mother. I just loved her face. It told everything good about her.
I also loved her cat!
