Open House Today w/ House Tour

I just got home from putting out my Open House signs and my hands are like blocks of ice. I hope the realtors who have not seen this wonderful home will come. I have scheduled a Public Open House for this Sunday from 1-4pm. I know it's Super Bowl Sunday but it's a Super House and I think people will come. Wish me luck.
Virtual Tour Here Scroll down a bit for the Slideshow Video. Isn't it a wonderful house? The owners are an architect and a designer. It is right down the street from my cottage.
503 Spring Valley Road in Harding Township NJ. It is on the eastern side in the Green Village section. MLS # 3612070
Thanks for looking. xo

That is drop-dead gorgeous and move-in ready. Sparkling clean, the new buyer could fix dinner the evening they move in.

Omigosh! A ready-made place for goats, too! I'll take it. ;o)

Well, that was fun. It's a charming house with some really lovely features. Hope you get a good turnout and a quick sell Rosemary.

Gail, northern California. Thank you, Gail. You are right, it is sparkling clean and has been expertly painted throughout with great attention to detail. It is a pleasure to show and I enjoy time spent there.

Mama Pea -- The goats are an unexpected plus, aren't they? They are very friendly and i don't think they are much trouble. The just eat hay and get a mid-day treat from the dog walker.

The Queen Vee -- Victoria, We got a good turnout from the realtors today. Everybody loved it. There will be a public Open House on Sunday and even though it's Super Bowl Sunday, I think people will come between 1:00 and 4:00. Fingers crossed.

tammy j -- I thought about baking something but did not. As it turned out, that was the right decision. There was no mess to clean up and I had an appointment shortly after this open house ended so I was able to dash out the door, take down my signs, and show another house. The turnout for the Broker Open House was wonderful.

Didn’t see the square footage listed anywhere? Love the laundry room and Mr. Goat could help keep yard clean. Only one thing I didn’t like was refrigerator next to stove in the kitchen. Otherwise, bring it south where the weather is warmer. 😉

JudyMac -- The square footage has been measured by the county appraiser but won't be posted until July when the town revaluation takes effect.

It is a lovely house and an amazing transformation, but I have to agree with JudyMac about the stove-refrigerator placement - it was the first things I noted saw (and hadn't yet read the comments here). It's not ideal placement for cooking on the stove top. I'd have moved the refrigerator to the opposite wall and adjusted the hanging lights to accommodate that, if necessary and added cabinets for more storage and counter top work space. If size was a concern, I'd have opted for a counter-depth fridge to avoid taking up more floor space. No offense to your architect and designer seller clients, but in a smaller kitchen like this, that empty wall is too valuable not to utilize it for more than just a large work table. That said, I'm sure a buyer will do whatever works best for them, and many won't care.

Good luck with your public open house - with such an attractive renovation, I'm sure it will have no trouble selling quickly. It's a charmer of a property!
