I would love to have a microwave low enough to use it safely. It looks to me, though, as that washer/dryer is in the cubby where the fridge belongs. I wonder where the fridge is?
Linda Sand -- They make refrigerator drawers these days but there must be a standing refrigerator in the part of this kitchen we cannot see. I have my microwave in my pantry on the middle shelf of an old bucket bench and the shelf is about knee height. This works perfectly for me. So this would be under the counter height in a regular kitchen. I can understand why you don't like them up high. I wouldn't either. Lower is safer. Countertop height is fine too for a small microwave oven. xo, Rosemary

Oh Rosemary! yes to all three!
The dappled sunshine captured on the side wall of the cottage is wonderful!

My microwave is also in my small pantry. I don't like them over the stove or on the counter.
