Mama Pea -- This is a wonderful collection and it took a lifetime. Maybe the owners inherited the collection and kept adding to it. Or as you suggested, someone in the family was a silhouette artist. Anyway, it's wonderful. xo, Rosemary
This is the coolest thing ever! I think (I am not sure, I am getting old!) but I think this is the picture I sent my daughter with the circular staircase to show her the runner! If it isn't, it is a copy of the one I sent her...or two minds are on the same track! I will send a picture.....same runner....same border of runner! Circular staircase going other direction! Silouettes are so so cool! Collections are so cool!
Penelope Bianchi -- Penny, I love the runner and the curved staircase too. I am always drawn to collections on a gallery wall. Silhouettes are hard to come by these days. xo, Rosemary
Rosemary....I'm pretty sure I Pinned this picture, like you I love gallery walls and have 3 in my own cottage. This is such an outstanding collection of silhouettes, would love to see them closer. I prefer finished wood on stairs but this rug/carpeting is beautiful and looks like it would wear will and not show dirt.
The Queen Vee -- Victoria, I love the way you have put together your own gallery walls in your new cottage and your Virginia house. It takes a good eye and lots of planning plus a central theme. I would love to see those silhouettes up close too. You must be having fun with your Halloween decorating right now and looking forward to the cooler fall weather. xo, Rosemary
