Ferne Park House

Ferne House is a country house in the parish of Donhead St Andrew in Wiltshire, England. There has been a settlement on the site since 1225 AD. The current house, known as Ferne Park and the third to occupy the site, was designed by architect Quinlan Terry in 2001. The estate grounds straddle both Donhead St Andrew and Berwick St John parishes.

It sure looks like it has been there forever. Just perfect too. :-)

The fact that that is a new house.......gives me great hope for the future! What a magnificent creation! And it fits perfectly into its spot.

Bravo! And thank you so much for finding it and showing it to all of us who follow you!

Hahaha...fooled me too. I assumed older due to the retro grass cutters....the sheep.

If you can imagine......my Godmother in the early 60's had sheep trimming her lawn in Winston-Salem NorthCarolina. Her house is now a museum......"Reynolda"; she told me when I was 15; "those lawn mowers sound terrible and they smell terrible also!" I love the sheep! They are sweet; and so lovely to look at!

Brilliant. Too bad she didn't like the cigarettes......she died of lung cancer.......She was married to a man who was the head of Reynolds Tobacco Company!

Best idea in the world. Sheep and goats trimming brush and invasive plants!
