A Favorite Photo of Webster

This is one of my very favorite photos of Webster The Wonder Dog when he was still able to jump up on the bed and get super comfortable. I want to thank all of you for your comments this week. It has been so comforting to know you were concerned about me and upset about Webster's passing. I know he was loved by so many wonderful friends and he will be missed.

I love this Thomas Campbell quote.

Dear Rosemary,

I am so very sorry for the loss of your sweet Webster. I lost my kitty, Bob, in February. He was around 20 years old, which is quite a long life for a cat. I say around 20, because he found us. We never really knew how old he was. He was such an amazing little creature. Extremely loving, always wanted to be with you, would always crawl into your lap, loved to sleep with everyone in the house. When I would leave the house to run errands he would search the house and meow, looking for me. We had not had a family pet in ages, so I was surprised at the grief I experienced when he was gone. I am working on finding another four legged furry friend, but I know I will never replace my little Bob. He was so special, and one in a million. My heart goes out to you.

I'm so sorry that Webster is gone. I've always enjoyed your photos of him out in the yard and in the garden. I know it must feel like a hole in your heart. Thinking of you.

Awww, could Webster have had a more comfortable, loving life? That particular picture is adorable. Makes me want to get all cozied up in my bed just like that!

When I lost my Minniepie someone sent me a note with an A.A. Milne quote.
" How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."

And thank goodness that our hearts can hold all those beloved pets.

Lovely picture. I bet he was a most handsome pup when he was young. But I've always loved that gray muzzle. It speaks of a long and interesting life.

Webster certainly lived a charmed life. So glad for both of you that you were with him at the end.
Some 30 years have passed since my dear dog and cat died and the regret still lingers that I wasn't there.
Thanks for sharing him with us.
