Child's Cottage Playhouse

$42,000???
That is a whole lot of money for a child's playhouse. I could do something very meaningful to my own cottage for that amount of money, couldn't you? It's called the Coral Gables Cottage Playhouse. The flip side is: who wouldn't want one if money were no object? Can you even imagine being a child and having one? A home of your own at a very young age, how nice!

Well, it is gorgeous, really gorgeous. I'd be be willing to live there (but it might be like Alice in Wonderland). Hard to see the scale from the photo. Two stories or one? The details are a hoot. Central air! Marble floors? Your own interior designer. And how many years would a young lady want to play here? I was so envious of my cousin's playhouse. She was oh so tired of it and didn't want to play in it when I visited. I think my aunt and uncle ended up using for storage, just as I use my son's plastic "log cabin" as a shed. Would one require a real estate agent when the child outgrew it?

I love the style of the house, could I get it in an adult size, please?

I've heard stories, like your reader shared, where kids don't like their playhouses. My granddaughter has a very cute plastic one but spiders seem to enjoy more than she does. It may be that the spiders constant rebuilding of their own homes inside her playhouse is why she prefers to make a blanket tent. :-)

Oh, my. This leaves me nearly speechless. I can't help but think of everything else that amount of money could be used for.

A child of the wealthiest 1%?

It's gorgeous---I would have loved something ....anything like this as a child.
My other thought on a 42,000 dollar playhouse---if they're getting THAT at a young age, what on earth do you buy them for their 13th, 16th, 18th birthday that will impress?????
Makes you feel sorry for the rich. What problems!

In a larger size it would be perfect for a couple of adult kids, like me and the hubby. Reminds me of the Welsh styled playhouse cottage that Queen Elizabeth was given when she was six years old.
