The people with farm assessments have round hay bales in their fields right now. I love driving around looking at them. Thank goodness I live in an area with lots of open land and an active land trust.
I love it too. Heavy rains postponed our baling this year until after July 4 so the fields and grass could completely dry out. Our neighbor cuts and bales our 26 acres for us for free so we don't have to, and we let him have the bales for his cattle. We can hear hay meadows all around being cut for baling for several weeks each summer.

Nothing spells country more than a field of round bales. I love this time of year!
Lucky you and Webster! This is the only way to preserve open spaces for our next generation!!!
