Soaking Tub in a Museum Setting

It's very elegant, isn't it? The floor looks like old linoleum. I love a good hot bath in weather like this. Today we have rain that promises to continue all day long with wind tomorrow to help us dry out. I watched a weather report on TV this morning and the reporter said SNOWVEMBER occurred in the deep south. Is this true? Yikes. I am definitely not ready for the first four letters. My cottage is much warmer today since I performed my annual ritual yesterday on my ceiling air conditioning vents. I have decorative cast iron covers that don't open and close. They are open all year round and all the warm air goes up them like an open chimney. I have struggled with different fixes and several years ago I thought of cutting freezer paper to cover them. It worked like a charm so that was my project yesterday. I cut new pieces and affixed them with ATG double-sided tape with a special dispenser I have from my picture framing days. It went quickly and now my drafts have gone away. I'm so happy. Where there's a will, there's always a way, right? Have a good weekend and say hello to November. Don't forget to set your clocks back tonight before you go to bed. xo via

Oh yes, my friend from Aiken S.C. texted me this am "Snow NOW" ... I couldn't believe it. 34° and light snow ... So strange.

Good job on winterized get your vents. A woman of action! All three of you will stay cozy this winter.

I sat and watched your fireplace gif for about 15 minutes while I was watching tv ... If I squinted my eyes a bit and suspended reality, it was almost like it was right there in my living room.

Have a cozy day ...

How I dread setting the clocks back. I hate it when it gets dark so early.

I'm with you! doing some winterizing here too.
We didn't remove the window A/Cs this year...so they'll be covered with plastic and some caulk around any gaps!
Thanks for the reminder on the clocks!
we still have 5 that need changing!
the phones and computers set themselves. ;)
Stay warm.

Oh dear Lord!! It poured rain last night in Montecito....and right when my husband was going out to play tennis....we heard this noise.....pouring rain again!

The worst drought in history in California....the sound of pouring rain had us in ecstasy! not even a hint of complaint about tennis dashed!

We are praying for a wet winter....it has been so sad!

Our chickens loved it! It was hard to get them in!
