I'm not a sailor but I love a good boat model and this is a great one. Love the chair and pillow and throw too. Actually I like everything in this photo, including the view. via
I have always wanted a model boat like this; and yesterday there it was in front of me at Homegoods. It's quite gorgeous, and was so much less expensive than ones that true artists make. I'm thinking about where to put it, what to "move out" as the house just can't take more upon more.
And I do love this chair, they are hard to find, I wish we had kept my parents set.
With a view like that, who wouldn't want to turn the chair around; it looks awfully comfy! Then again, maybe there is a sofa facing the chair (and the water), which might be even better.
Karen in VA...How exciting to find a sailboat at Home Goods. I know what you mean about having to move something out to make room for something new. Yes, you should have kept your parents' chairs. I think the one in this photo might be from George Smith. http://www.georgesmith.com/Catalogue/2/signature_chairs/3/C005/Standard_Arm_Signature_Chair_with_loose_back_cushion xo, Rosemary
The boat is truly elegant. The whole setting lovely. The basket table really catches my eye. The only thing I can't puzzle out is what's under the boat.

JudyMac....There MUST be some seating in this room looking out at that gorgeous view. I'm glad you like it too. Have a great Easter.
