Snow Day Today @ My Cottage

I know this looks like a watercolor, but it's not. It's one of the first photos I took this morning when I woke up to heavy snow.

This was what I saw from my front window.

When I went out to shovel a path one-shovel wide, this is what my front yard looked like. That's my pantry window.

Webster is very tuckered out. We got at least a foot of snow on top of what we already had. It has stopped but is supposed to start up again this evening. My driveway has been plowed and my car is clean, except for the top. I'm pretty worried about my balcony. I have never seen such deep snow on it. I think I should start shoveling out there but my arms are too tired at the moment. We are fine and hope you are too. Tabitha is hiding.

Oh, my goodness! Your pictures are beautiful (to a snow-lover such as I am!) but you've really gotten a bunch! Good thing your weather usually warms up enough to melt it all quickly. In our part of the country, no matter how much we get when, it stays until April or even May! Be warm, and safe, and enjoy your winter wonderland.

Quite a similar view outside my window in New Hampshire..the only difference is our snow is still piling up! Stay warm and cozy!

Oh, Rosemary. I wish I were there to help. It's scary when the snow doesn't let up for a few days to allow things to melt. Stay safe and I hope you can get your balcony shoveled before the next storm.

I hate to say it, Rosemary but I am jealous of your snow. In the UK at the moment, we are suffering from the worst flooding for years. It hasn't stopped raining since Christmas.

I would much prefer your snow x

Send Webster hugs, he looks so sad at your snow situation x

Webster is obviously "California Dreamin'"!

Rachy....I've been following the flooding in England. I heard on one newscast that it's the worst since 1775. I would rather have snow too. Hopefully your rain will end soon. xo, Rosemary

Wow - that is a lot of snow. I hope Webster can walk outside at least a little. I remember when I lived up North the first thing we had to do was shovel a path for the dogs so they could go out. I hope you get your balcony cleaned. Stay safe and warm.

Here's a great quote I saw today, Rosemary, I know you will appreciate it. "Keep Calm and Ring for Carson To Bring Tea"

Oh, how I hear your frustration. For you to be exhausted, it just must be insane shoveling.

I hope you can get some rest ... and an amazing snow melt

Oh woe. Do you have the phone number for your house painter? Remember how nice he and his crew were? Just imagine how they have nothing to do when it snows, how helpless they are given this weather. CALL HIM. Ask him to drop by ASAP with shovels and manpower!

Rosemary, I really feel for you. Can't imagine having to deal with that much snow. Luckily, I did not lose power, and today the temp was high enough, with enough sun, to pretty much melt the roads--at least where the sun hit the pavement. Everyone should be back at work tomorrow, but I think the schools are going to take a break for one more day. Take care and keep Webster and Tabitha warm. Just think how much we're going to appreciate spring when it finally gets here this year.

Just beautiful! I know it can be a little scary, though - all that snow. We in the upper midwest have been spared this huge storm. Stay safe!
