I love this photo. via I woke up to a rainy morning and gray skies. Most of the snow has melted too. Webster is back to being his old self with a complete recovery from his hurt ankle. When he goes down, he goes down hard but he still has the ability to bounce back. I watched Downton Abbey last night and found the end to be very upsetting. That's all I'm going to say because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I have an office meeting this morning and I have to say I'm still having a hard time getting back into the swing of things since the first of the new year. How about you?

Well, it was a wet rainy day here, so it's been hard to think about getting back into the swing of things. I'm still taking down the Christmas decorations (embarrassed).
So glad Webster is all better, the wonder dog.
Cheers ... love the iron gate.

Love this gate. I too was very upset by Downton last evening. A friend said that when episode 2 aired in the UK that they got a flurry of calls from viewers saying they were going to stop watching the series due to the events. I do wish they had chosen another way to stir things up.

I agree. I think it was a huge mistake for julian Fellows to write that violence into the script. We don't need that type of thing on DA.

Love the photo; it has a magical quality. I'm actually making progress towards my usual New Year's Resolutions to get organized, but not really because I want to. I have to. Not doing so well on laying off the sweets, alas.
As for DA, way too harsh. Highclere is such a jawdropping setting, the actors terrific, the costumes stunning, the cinematography great. It seems a waste of all this lavish charm and high end production quality to stoop to such soap-opera style sensationalism. So jarring after such an engaging story.
I agree with you about the violence on DA - and Anna of all people - has that woman not been through enough? Very depressing and watching the fallout is going to be heart breaking . . . I'm pretty upset with the whole thing. This couple deserved to be happy . . . heavens - what did they have - like five minutes of bliss? I feel like the story line was done for shock effect and little else . . .
