Post Hurricane Observations

Our power was restored today at 5:52 pm, just a few hours short of 8 days being a pioneer and it was no fun. We at the cottage refuse to think about the nor'easter that's coming Wednesday into Thursday. The house was 44 degrees when the power came back. We were never cold though. Too tired to tell you more. Hope you are warm and cozy by now too.

Glad to hear all (reasonably) well and to see sense of humor still intact. Sending warm thoughts to you and yours and your neighbors.

So glad you have power again. I remember an ice storm where we lost power for 6 days and when it came home the sound of the vacuum cleaner was like music to my ears!

So glad everything is back to status quo. Enjoy a warm bath (if possible) and a toasty night with Webster. Sara, Ohio

Rosemary, I have been checking in on the cottage frequently and becoming more and more worried over you all day by day. Do you hear the collective sighs of relief as all of your friends read your "post hurricane" news. Thank goodness you at last have power. Rest well. Linda

Thank goodness!

I hope the next storm is small and does no harm.

My admiration for you, Webster and your mum is boundless.

Sleep well all those who reside in the warmth of a contented cottage...I know I'm contented just knowing you have heat.

Rosemary,
Dear Blog friend, I'm so relieved to hear you have your power and can possibly now start towards "normal routine". I hope the nor'easter isn't too terrible.
Get some rest. I'm happy you're okay.

I am so happy to see you back on line! I cannot believe that you had no power for 8 days!!!! What did you do to stay warm? Did you keep the fireplace burning?

Take care, the storm is here and so far not so bad, hope you get lucky!

xx Elizabeth

Oh, Rosemary, what a trial! I second what Molly said. You are an escape for me and I miss you when you are not here. Thank goodness you all are alright and that tree missed you! God bless!
