Nice Tree Bark

I took this photo when Webster and I had our dog duty with his two little friends a few weeks ago. I loved the shadows on the bark of this old tree. We have bright sun and crisp cool air outside here at the cottage today. Our town is giving free flu shots this afternoon and that's the only thing on my calendar. The grass in the front needs a good mowing so I'll fire up the push mower after the morning dew evaporates. See you later.

Does Mr. Webster get to accompany you downtown for the flu shot? Or, might he get restless in the car if you take too long?

Push mower...what a great workout that will be. I'm not being snide. I'm serious. Fabulous exercise.

Gail...I meant a power mower that you walk behind as opposed to my riding mower. I have an old timey reel mower too but will not be using that.

We got in and out of the flu clinic in a snap...and yes, Webster got to go along. Then we went for soft serve ice cream and he got to eat the last bite of both cones.

An excellent day so far!

Mr. Webster is spoiled beyond belief.

P.S. Even a power mower is a workout.

Lovely bark it is. I adore the bark of trees and always feel compelled to touch - gently though, I don't want to disturb the little critters in their homes behind the bark.

Haha! Jack loves the little cone ends too! I try to make sure a little gelato gets pushed down to the cone bottom, so he gets a taste :)

Nothing is too good for Webster. He is such a good dog he deserves to be spoiled. So of course the flat bottoms of the cones contained a goodly amount of soft serve custard. :-)

Mother nature does the most amazing things, doesn't she? This is beautiful.
Have a wonderful weekend, hope your open house went well this past week.
