I LOVE THAT!!!! i think it's a mouse dressed up like a carrot. and he's running away from home to have a big adventure. or maybe he's just mad. and so he's running away. anyway. he's traveling.
It made me think of Arthur, an Aardvark in a series of children's stories. But when I look up Arthur, his nose isn't quite so...prominent. So, now I'm not sure.

This has to be a story illustration, but I don't have a clue. I can't remember a book about an orange mouse.
Whoever he is, he's wonderful!
