I like these room-dividing bookcases by Candace Barnes. Those shelves look as though they will never sag no matter how heavy the books. Nice indeed. via

What a great idea. And one that would be fairly easy to retro fit in a house with walls either side of an entrance into another room as seen here. I like it. And, any excuse to have more spaces for much loved books, well, that makes it all the better :)

those bookcases everyone can learn from!
Exquisite!
Lovely; and they always add warmth to a room (unless they are fake!)
Perhaps covering a tv (I have done that!)
Otherwise "books by the yard" feels like an "empty suit!!!
What do you think? You and Webster?
Tammy and Penelope....
We are all on the same page with these bookcases but insist that they be filled with authentic antiquarian books. Not books by the yard.

Quite right Rosemary. Only antique books would suit for sure.
Only they can give an air of beautifully aged character.

Only fine bindings in a beautiful formal room like that. Large sets look especially nice.
