I've had this small 19th century oil on panel of an English Water Dog for somewhere between 30 and 40 years. It's one of my favorite things.Dog Fact: People have been keeping dogs as pets for the past 12,000 years.

Nice art--wonder what kind of dog it is(a spaniel of some kind?). Have you been a dog lover and art collector all your life, Rosemary ?
